Wilde Sunglasses presents Wilde Stone — Turquoise Limited Edition, a collection of handcrafted sunglasses set with natural gemstones, bringing together independent eyewear design, fine jewellery and spiritual symbolism.
The collection features three of the brand’s most distinctive icons: Oscar, Panther and D’Weeknd. Each frame has been individually set with a turquoise stone at the centre of the bridge, creating three unique one-of-one pieces. Only one of each design exists in the world.
An Idea Born in Madrid
The story of Wilde Stone began nine years ago, when Cao Wilde, founder and creative director of Wilde Sunglasses, completed his first year of jewellery studies in Madrid.
That experience awakened an interest in transforming Wilde’s eyewear amulets through traditional jewellery-making techniques. The intention was to incorporate natural gemstones into the frames, adding a more intimate, energetic and symbolic dimension to each design.
Since then, Wilde has collaborated with master jewellers to develop the Wilde Stone Limited Edition series, where every piece is conceived as a singular object at the intersection of craftsmanship, fashion and art.
A Turquoise Stone Aligned with the Third Eye
The turquoise stone is positioned at the centre of the bridge, visually aligned with the third eye and close to the wearer’s gaze. Its placement is not intended as a scientific claim, but as a symbolic gesture: positioning the energy traditionally associated with the stone at a point connected to vision, intuition and inner perception.
Through Wilde Stone, the brand introduces a pioneering vision within independent eyewear design: gemstone craftsmanship with a spiritual intention, integrated into a contemporary object that can be worn every day as a personal amulet.
The stone is not simply a decorative element. It becomes part of the meaning, identity and creative concept of the frame.
The Symbolism of Turquoise
Turquoise is a copper and aluminium phosphate mineral recognised for its distinctive blue-green colour. Worn by different civilisations for centuries, it has traditionally been regarded as a stone of protection, good fortune and spiritual connection.
In lithotherapy and traditions associated with natural gemstones, turquoise is symbolically connected with:
- Energetic protection.
- Emotional balance.
- Honest communication.
- Intuition and inner clarity.
- Good fortune.
These associations belong to cultural and spiritual traditions and should not be interpreted as medically or scientifically proven properties.
From Sunglasses to Amulets
Since its foundation in Barcelona in 2008, Wilde Sunglasses has embraced a distinctive design philosophy: we do not simply create sunglasses; we create amulets.
Wilde Stone takes this philosophy into a new dimension. The frame protects the gaze, the stone carries intention, and the handcrafted intervention transforms each design into an object that can never be precisely replicated.
The result is a collection of three unique pieces in which traditional jewellery craftsmanship enters into dialogue with independent luxury eyewear:
Oscar. Panther. D’Weeknd.
Three handcrafted turquoise eyewear amulets.
Three unrepeatable creations.
Three one-of-one pieces in the world.
